forest mere
Created and delivered by a Women’s Health Physiotherapist and a breathwork & yoga practitioner, the day blends gentle movement, breathwork, sound healing, compassionate coaching, and restorative spa time.
This retreat offers women a chance to slow down, soften, and turn inward –moving beyond surface-level self-care into practices that nurture emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation, and a deeper sense of self-worth. Every session is trauma-informed and fully optional, allowing each guest to move at a pace that feels right for them.
Whether you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, or simply in need of space to breathe, you’ll be warmly welcomed into a supportive environment where you can truly unwind.
What’s Included:
• Women’s Health–informed self-care and coaching with Michelle Norton-Hughes
• Gentle embodied practices to ease tension and support grounding
• Kundalini yoga, conscious breathwork and soothing sound bath healing with Claire
• Time to rest and restore using Champneys Forest Mere’s luxurious spa facilities
• Space for reflection, renewal and compassionate self-connection
Held just before Valentine’s Day, this retreat reframes the idea of a “day of love” – not as something to give away, but as a gift to yourself. You are welcome to come alone or with someone you love; both are equally meaningful.
If you’re ready to pause, rebalance and refill your cup, this retreat offers a safe, nurturing space to do just that.
A day of self-love. A day for you.

About Michelle and Claire
Michelle Norton-Hughes is a Chartered Women’s Health Physiotherapist who works with women every day experiencing pelvic health concerns, persistent pain, stress-related symptoms and nervous system overload. Many of the women she supports feel they have spent years pushing through discomfort, ignoring their own needs, or feeling disconnected from their bodies.
Michelle’s approach is gentle, holistic and trauma-informed. Rather than asking you to “fix” anything, she focuses on helping you feel safe, supported and more at home in your body. During the retreat, Michelle will offer coaching, education and guided self-care practices, including teaching gentle self-massage techniques to help you release tension from head to toe — from easing jaw and facial tension through to grounding techniques for the feet.
While hands-on therapy can be incredibly valuable, your own hands are with you every day. Learning simple techniques you can return to again and again can help you feel more grounded, relaxed and connected, long after the retreat ends.
Claire is a breathwork, yoga and coaching practitioner whose work centres around heart-opening movement, conscious breathing and emotional release. She will guide gentle yoga, breathwork and a nourishing sound bath healing, creating space for rest, reflection and deep relaxation.
You'll be supported every step of the way, with no pressure to do or be anything other than you are.
