Everything you need to know about our health club and gym memberships
Answering commonly asked questions about our fitness classes, membership types and much more. 

All fitness classes are inclusive of all our membership types. The “£” symbols highlight payable classes for hotel and Spa day guests. The only group exercise sessions members have to pay for are retreats, certain specialist guest presenters and Reformer Pilates 

(Specialist presenters and reformer Pilates available at specific resorts and are advertised on site for each resort with cost).

Champneys wellness spas and resorts are an adult-only environment – with the exception of our Mottram Hall club and Eastwell Manor’s outdoor pool – therefore children cannot enter nor use the resorts facilities. Please contact your local Champneys resort for more details on children’s access to Mottram Hall and Eastwell Manor.

Members guest passes allow 1-person full access to the resort and wellness spa along as they are accompanied by the member at all times and is pre-booked in advance. 

Regular member guests also get access to complimentary fitness classes as long as they are pre-booked in advance through the wellness spa reception. however, Cloud 9 guests are booked through the concierge line and classes are payable for them.

Each member receives 2-3 guest passes per year based on your membership type and lasts for the 12-month period of that membership, although no members discounts are extended to the guest as is entry only.

Members can bring the same guest 3 times per membership term over a 12-month period.

More guest passes can be purchased at the health club reception.

Members receive generous discounts in all the resort’s departments. 10-20% off Champneys spa treatments and boutique shopping, 20% off food and beverage, selected discounts off fitness and nutrition services plus 10% off corporate days and stays and an incredible 50% off standrd tariff overnight stays.

Unfortunately not, as all charges and billing needs to be finalised upon purchase using a credit/debit card. We cannot put charges and billing onto your membership account.

All charges must be settled immediately after purchase and finalised before you leave the resort.

Our members robes are completely inclusive of membership as is our towels. Members robes can be signed out at the club reception and towels are provided for you in each of our changing facilities.
Yes, although we do encourage members and hotel guests to be mindful of the work they are carrying out within particular environments, as calls / meetings can disturb other members and guests. Should you require a more private or suitable workspace, these can be arranged in advance at the hotel reception.

Members can freeze their membership after completing their first 12-month term. To freeze a membership, a written request is required to be sent into the club administrators with as much notice as possible. Members can freeze their membership for a maximum of 3 months per year and carries a £25 per month admin fee.


Any months that your membership is frozen for automatically gets added onto your current membership term therefore members do not lose on any time they cannot use the facilities.

You can join on a Cloud 9 membership online from here. Regular members are required to join in person.

However if Cloud 9 applicants join online then we still require a paper copy of an application form handed into the club reception as well as a live picture taken at the club reception prior to your membership starting.

Monthly paying memberships as a rolling 12-month contract. After your 12-months have been completed it automatically rolls onto the next 12-month term and does not require renewal or other intervention. Annual paying memberships are a fixed 12-month contract term which does need to be renewed. You can do this at the club reception or by contacting our admin team.

Members have full access to the entire resort and wellness spa amenities with complimentary fitness classes included. Club members also receive a wide variety of discounts in the resorts and access to members only events and functions.

We have different types of membership category’s at different Champneys resorts. Premier & Cloud 9 memberships have unrestricted access all day every day, whereas some resorts have a choice of standard membership types which allow morning and evening only accessibility as well as evening only memberships.
 
Hours of our wellness spas are from 06.30 and remain open based on that particular club, as can be 21.30 or 20.30 Monday – Thursday and 21.00 or 20.00 Friday – Sunday. Standard membership types can only use the facilities and enter the resort until 10.00 and the again from 17.00. Whereas evening only members can only use their membership from 17.00 daily.
