You must have a pre-booked tee-time to play the golf course at Mottram Hall. Members are entitled to book up to 28 days in advance. You can access online bookings by creating an online account on BRS - this should be set up at the point of joining by our membership sales team: Phoebe.Chittim@mottramhall.com

Upon joining you will be contacted by Luke Yardley, Golf Operations Manager, for initial introduction. If you do not receive this email, please feel free to contact him luke.yardley@mottramhall.com  -  he will support with your membership induction, provide a course tour and introduce you to the members committee. New to the club? Not to worry we have a friendly and all-inclusive culture at Mottram where all members are expected to respect one another and support new members with their onboarding. The golf team will support with this transition.

Please be aware that all members and guests must report to the Golf Shop before playing.

The online competition calendar can be viewed on the notice board in the members locker room or in the golf shop. 

• Tuesday: There is a mixed competition on 50% of Tuesdays with various formats. You can view the competition calendar on the member notice boards or on the BRS Booking engine. These can be booked unless stated anytime within the day, with no set reserved tee’s.
• Wednesday: There is a mixed competition on 50% of Wednesdays with various formats. You can view the competition calendar on the member notice boards or on the BRS Booking engine. These can be booked unless stated anytime within the day, with no set reserved tee’s.
• Saturday: There is a competition most Saturdays. The Saturday comp must be booked via the BRS online booking platform. Members competitions have reserved tee’s from 7.00am - 10.30am. If you have not used this before, you will need to create a profile the first time you login, this will then be verified by our Secretary and Head Professional Matt Turnock - mattturnockgolfpro@gmail.com
• Sunday: There is a competition on the 1st Sunday of every month. The Sunday comp must be booked via the BRS online booking platform. Members competitions have reserved tee’s from 7am - 10:30. If you have not used this before, you will need to create a profile the first time you login, this will then be verified by our Secretary and Head Professional Matt Turnock. - mattturnockgolfpro@gmail.com

If you already have a handicap that you would like to transfer over to Mottram Hall, please email Matt Turnock - mattturnockgolfpro@gmail.com. He will require your CDH number to do this. If you do not have a handicap or would like to get a new one, you will need to enter 3 cards that have been marked by another member.

Members can bring up to 3 guests to play with them at reduced rate of £25. These must be booked via the BRS booking engine and paid for before play commences. We expect the member to sign their guests in and confirm number of playing visitors.

At Champneys Mottram we are very fortunate to be able to partner with like minded clubs who want to increase added value to their members and provide opportunities to play at other golf courses within the UK. 

With not being a member exclusive venue we do have set days within the calendar which are reserved solely for corporate functions so we acknowledge the requirement for reciprocal to be in place so we can offer options so you can still enjoy your golf.  When this is the case, we will try to usually 2 weeks away distribute tee time availability at local courses that will be complimentary. This in most cases is limited and works on a 1st come 1st served basis. The golf team will absolutely try to accommodate all requests for members who wish to play on certain set days but cannot be guaranteed. 

Whereby the member just wants a change of scenery and try a different course we partner with the following courses that offer set rates for our members. To book/enquire about availability please do this via the golf team at Mottram who will liaise on your behalf.

The driving range, 1st class short game area and putting green is open to both members and guests – opening times are from 7am in Summer (April - September) and 8am in the winter (October – March) where baskets can be collected from the golf operation. The driving range has capacity for up to 10 golfers at a time. 

As of 1st January 2025, Mottram Hall will provide members who are signed in to play in any competition a complementary basket of 25 balls to warm up before play as an additional value add on to your membership.

Members get discounted rates on buggies subject to availability. These can be booked in advance or on the day in the Golf Shop. Buggies are available for £25 each for members and £40 for visitors. Must be over 18 yrs old with a valid UK driving licence so ensure full insurance validation.

Soft spikes are permitted throughout resort.

If you are carrying your clubs, you can enter the resort and locker rooms via main reception. Please avoid bringing trollies into the locker rooms and please use the trolley / shoe cleaner after your round to discard any loose grass cuttings and dirt. 

Our golf operations team are located opposite the main carpark on the ground floor of Barneys clubhouse and can assist you with your clubs to and from your car if required. 

Whilst being a member at Mottram you will enjoy the service the golf team have to offer which includes, starters and marshals on all weekends and any day which exceeds 75 golfers to ensure the smooth flow of pace of play and provide the appropriate welcome to all golfers as well as buggy and trolley concierge on all days.  

On brighter days keep an eye out as our team will be roaming the course on the Mottram  juice buggy which provides alcoholic/soft drink refreshments and hot food to replenish your energy to keep the great round of golf going and if by any chance you miss this the halfway house located directly behind the 9th green open from 7.00 – 15.00 every day which has the facility to sit up 16 people inside or outside under our Laurent-Perrier Patio Umbrellas with the capacity of 30 people . 

The Ladies’ & Gents’ locker rooms are in the main building and can be used by all members and guests - these are open 24 hours a day. There are noticeboards in both areas with information you may find useful. You will also find complementary towels provided for your convenience with shower, wash & toilet facilities and comfortable sofas with sky sports broadcasted. We do ask that you do not leave your personal belongings in lockers overnight.

Our 19th hole is located by the 9th and 18th Green and serves food & drinks most days from 11am - late with live entertainment every weekend. The on-course toilets are also located here. Our members receive 10% off food and beverage in all F&B outlets so this is a great opportunity to enjoy a cold refreshment, some lovely food after your round sat on our terrace, taking in the breathtaking views!
