Wednesday 7th April 10.00 – 11.00: Power of Walking for Fat Loss & Fitness
Focused on cardiovascular conditioning, calorie burn, and technique, this workshop introduces participants to power walking as an effective, low-impact way to improve fitness and support fat loss. Guests will learn how to safely elevate their heart rate while maintaining proper walking mechanics to maximise results, including correct posture and stride length, effective arm drive and pace control, understanding heart rate zones, and using interval walking with bursts of speed and recovery. The session also explores how to use terrain, such as inclines, to increase intensity. The workshop includes 50-minute outdoor guided interval walks, and guests will leave with a simple, structured fat-loss walking plan they can follow independently.
Wednesday 13th May 14.00 – 15.00: Power Walking fro Strength, Posture & Longevity
With a focus on muscular engagement, joint health, and posture, this workshop explores how power walking can enhance muscular endurance, core activation, and alignment for long-term health and injury prevention. Ideal for those seeking a functional and sustainable approach to fitness, participants will learn about postural alignment of the head, shoulders, and pelvis, as well as glute activation, hip stability, and effective foot mechanics to improve push-off strength. The session also introduces walking with resistance, such as bands or light weights, alongside the benefits of weight-bearing exercise for bone health, particularly during peri- and post-menopause. The practical element includes technique drills and a resistance walking session, with a takeaway posture checklist and strength-focused walking routine.
Wednesday 10th June 14.00 –15.00: Mindful Power Walking for Stress & Emotional Wellbeing
This restorative workshop focuses on mental health, stress reduction, and mindfulness by combining movement with intentional awareness. Participants will learn how to use power walking as a tool to regulate the nervous system, helping to shift from a heightened fight-or-flight state into a calmer rest-and-digest response. The session covers rhythmic breathwork while walking, mindful walking techniques, and developing a deeper connection to nature and surroundings, alongside simple gratitude and grounding exercises. A guided mindful walk in a calm outdoor setting allows guests to experience these techniques firsthand, and they will leave with a guided walking script and a practical stress-reduction walking plan to support ongoing emotional wellbeing.
