About Lucy
Lucy Innes Williams is an artist who depicts florals in an expressive, textile and folk-art inspired way.
Based by the sea in Falmouth, Cornwall, she works on meticulously-designed laser cut wooden shapes and paper.
The presence of the hand is so important in her work. Brushstrokes and movement are obvious, expressive and playful, drawing the viewer into the detail. The point of her painting isn’t to directly represent what she sees, but to celebrate the joyful colour, shapes and texture of flora and their landscapes.
Lucy sells her artwork through galleries including The Art Buyer, London, Birdie Fortescue, Norfolk, Magpie Contemporary, Surrey and The Byre Gallery, Cornwall.
Lucy also runs Floradore, a paper goods company celebrating all things floral. From notebooks to craft kits and greeting cards, each design starts life as a painting and celebration of the colourful and hand-painted. Floradore is stocked across the UK and North America, and is available via Country Living Marketplace, Etsy and Not on the High Street, as well as direct.
Lucy received her BA (Hons) Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art.
