thai yoga bodywork
Taught by the talented Alberto De Fortuna.

Alberto employs a number of techniques including:

  • Acupressure - (using Hands, Thumbs, Fingers, Feet) to apply pressure directly along the energy points (meridians, or Sen Lines) in your body. Your therapist will focus on ten main Sen Lines. This will release areas of blocked energy in the body, helping to bring the body back to a state of natural equilibrium, where balance and wellbeing are present. The main energy lines run throughout the whole body, with some focus applied to legs, back, head and shoulders.
  • Manipulation – the lengthening, twisting and mobilisation of limbs, joints and spine.
  • Dynamic Movements – gentle rocking and assisted yoga style stretches. Using body-weight instead of strength and a steady and meditative rhythm, Thai Yoga bodywork looks and feels like a graceful dance between giver and receiver.

The benefits are countless.

By freeing the flow of vital energy in the body, Thai Yoga Bodywork can improve posture, breathing, flexibility, digestion and circulation. Muscles are stretched, inner organs toned and emotional and nervous tension is reduced. Often a deep sense of peace can be experienced during and after the service.

foot and gait analysis

Do you suffer from foot, knee or back pain?

A comprehensive gait assessment allows your Wellbeing Coach to determine if your feet are having a negative impact on the way that you stand, walk, run and move especially if you have foot related problems such as knee, hip and back pain.

The assessment includes a foot scan using the GaitScan Computerized Analysis. A report will be generated by the GaitScan software that your coach will review and recommend a treatment plan. Performance custom orthotics may be recommended as a non-invasive treatment of foot-related problems such as knee, hip, and back pain. They also may be helpful in treating bunions, corns, hammertoes, sore arches, plantar fasciitis, sore ankles, shin splints and more.

Look out for our next complimentary foot and gait scan day.
