I recently had the most wonderful experience at Amanda’s detox retreat that exceeded all my expectations. The offerings included an array of nutritious juices, smoothies and delicious soups. I was never left feeling hungry. Each morning began with Pilates sessions led by Amanda which set a positive tone for the day. Champneys offered a variety of exercise classes and I particularly enjoyed the Reformer Pilates and the daily country walks in the sunshine. It works and Amanda certainly knows her stuff.
I have done a detox retreat before but this one beats it hands down. What stands out straight away when you meet Amanda is that she knows nutrition inside out, is focussed on making sure your okay and tuned in to what’s happening and checks in with you all the time. She’s caring, compassionate and wants to you get 100% out of your time at Champneys. The pre detox menus were easy to prepare and gets your mind and in body in sharp focus for the retreat. There is an immense programmes of activities in the hotel, or you can simply sit and relax (I didn’t). The educational workshop each night were eye opening. I could wax lyrical about how positive my mind and body now feels, but all I would say is just book on and go. You owe it to your future self.

The retreat was tough for a foodie like me but very doable. It was great to know that all our nutritional needs were being met in such a well balanced way and we didn't even have to think about it. Absolutely Fantastic!
What an amazing experience! I say experience, because I was stepping into something new and if I'm honest, something I felt more than a little apprehensive about. I was concerned that I would be keeling over with hunger, and that it just wouldn't be for me. How wrong could I have been! It was amazing! Amanda and team were professional, knowledgable and so very approachable. The "food" was managed in such a way that I hardly ever felt hungry - and I lost 5lb in 4 days so they must have been doing something right. Apart from that though, I learned so much about nutrition and about eating for mid life (which I am definitely in) and how to help myself stay healthy and happy by feeding myself the correct nutrition. Do It! No Regrets

I had not encountered mimic fasting before, but was willing to try. My hope was to reset before trying to eat more mindfully. To be at Champneys was a bonus, enabling an escape away & to have relaxation & pampering on hand. The morning pilates before morning juice, was a good set up for the day. Juices & smoothies were varied, nutritious & helped stave off hunger pangs. The soups at 6pm were a treat & filling. Amanda was on hand to give support & answer our many questions. Who goes? All kinds of people! Our group were very friendly and supportive many were on an annual detox. Take a leap, your gut will thank you!

This break includes no meals, the diet is made up of juices, herbal teas, broths and supplements. This break cannot be used in conjunction with any offers or discounts. Available at Tring in standard and superior rooms only, but upgrades to premium rooms or suites are available on request.

A minimum number of 6 participants is required to run this break, and a maximum of 16. Should the minimum not be reached and the break cancelled, an alternative or full refund will be offered.

Champneys breaks, days and vouchers cannot be re-sold, and may only be used for promotional purposes with written permission from the directors of Champneys.

Per person from prices are based on shared occupancy. Stay another night for £150pp.
