GIFT CARDS

CHAMPNEYS GIFT CARDS AND GIFT VOUCHERS

Champneys gift cards are not cheque guarantee, credit or charge cards.  Valid activated cards and vouchers are redeemable in full or part payment for merchandise in any Champneys resort, Hotel, City Spa and online at champneys.com with the exception of Champneys online shop.

To redeem gift cards or vouchers on treatments and services at one of our resorts a residential or day package must be purchased prior in order to book and attend a treatment (excluding Eastwell Manor and Mottram Hall).

Champneys gift cards or vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase other gift cards or vouchers including spa package vouchers.

The minimum amount required to activate a gift card is £10.00 with no maximum card limit.  Only gift cards purchased at £250 or more will be packaged in a Champneys gift box.

All gift cards and vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase after which they expire and cannot be extended or refunded.  No change can be given on redemption but the balance will remain on the card until the date of expiry.  Any balance remaining on the date of expiry will be deducted the following day.

Gift cards and vouchers can be redeemed against new bookings, treatments and add ons only.  If the amount can only cover part payment a credit or debit card will be required to pay the remaining balance to secure the booking at the time of the gift card redemption.  Gift cards may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the value stored on the card provided alternative payment is made of the difference.

Champneys cannot be held liable for cards, once activated, which are subsequently lost, stolen or damaged. Champneys is not responsible for any unauthorised use of these cards.

Champneys reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time if Champneys considers it is reasonable and necessary in all the circumstances to do so. (e.g to change the scope of the gift card, service, notify of the services withdrawal or in the event of circumstances beyond Champneys control.) Any such change and action to be taken as a result will be notified to customers in advance in all resorts/City Spas and online.
 

LOYALY / RETURN VOUCHERS

Champneys is proud to operate a loyalty/ return voucher scheme which can be purchased on departure from your resort after a day or stay.

Our loyalty/ return vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase after which they revert to their monetary value for 6 months and then expire.  The vouchers cannot be extended or refunded.  No change can be given on redemption but the balance will remain on the voucher until the date of expiry.  Any balance remaining on the date of expiry will be deducted the following day.

Our loyalty/ return vouchers can be exchanged at Champneys Health Resorts as stipulated on the front of each voucher is not transferable for cash.  Loyalty/ return vouchers can be redeemed against our loyalty offers and promotions or against any other offers and promotions across Champneys for their monetary value.

Loyalty voucher bookings will be limited in numbers at peak times e.g school holidays and bank holiday weekends, there we recommend booking early.

GIFT CARD PROMOTIONS
20% EXTRA FREE

20% extra free on gift cards is only valid on multiples of £50.

Gift cards are valid for 2 years.

This offer is available from 9th November until 21st December 2020. Gift card purchases made after the 21st December will still be possible, however 20% extra free will not be applied.

This offer is not available with experience gift cards or vouchers and applies to new purchases of monetary gift cards only.

Gift cards can be used at Champneys Resorts, City Spas, Eastwell Manor and Mottram Hall. Only gift cards of the value £250 or more will be boxed.

SUBSCRIPTION BOXES
1. PURCHASE OF SUBSCRIPTION BOXES
1.1 By placing an order through our website, you warrant that: You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements; and you are at least 18 years of age; the Champneys Edit is only available to UK based customers.

2. THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND CHAMPNEYS
2.1 After placing any orders on our website you will receive a receipt e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, we will confirm acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail confirming that your purchase has been verified and accepted. Your subscription will only be activated when we have verified, accepted & sent you the acceptance confirmation via email.
2.2 The subscription plans to our services consists of recurring period charges as agreed to by you. By accepting these terms & conditions of service, you acknowledge that your subscription has this recurring payment feature and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges prior to cancellation.
2.3 Champneys may submit periodic charges monthly without further authorisation from you, until you provide prior notice that you have terminated this authorisation or wish to change your payment method. Such notice will not affect charges submitted before Champneys reasonably could act

2.4 To terminate your authorisation or change your payment method, please email at online@champneys.com.
2.5 By subscribing to our monthly Box Subscription you agree to allow Champneys to take recurring monthly payments from your credit/debit card. See 4.1 for price details. Should you wish to cancel, you can do so at any time. Champneys reserve the right to alter its subscription fees at any time however, at least 28 days written notice will be provided should this occur. Subscription payments will be taken on the first of every month and boxes aim to be dispatched within 19 days of payment being taken. If you cancel your subscription you can re-subscribe at any time following your cancellation. 2.6 Auto-renewal. Following your subscription period of 12 month your subscription will be automatically renewed for the same renewal period of your previous subscription. To cancel your subscription, you must email online@champneys.com and cancel the order.  You will also need to cancel the Direct Debit from your bank.

2.7 We reserve the right at our absolute discretion not to renew your subscription at any time without giving any reasons for our decision. 

3. DELIVERY
3.1 The Champneys Edit  deliver times to the UK is normally 2 to 3 working days. Actual delivery times may vary depending on your delivery address and circumstances impacting delivery by the Royal Mail. You will not hold us responsible for any delays, outside of our control, which relate to the delivery of your box.
3.2 If you change address, you must update your address details in the relevant section of the website to ensure that no boxes are sent out to the wrong address. Please ensure this is done before you move as you will be liable for any boxes posted to the wrong location. This also needs to be completed before the 13th of the month. 

4. PRICE AND PAYMENT
4.1 The price of the Products and our delivery charges will be as quoted on our site from time to time, except in cases of obvious error.
4.2 Product prices include VAT.
4.3 Product prices and delivery charges are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you a Dispatch Confirmation.
4.4 Payment for all Products and Services must be by credit, debit card .We accept payment with Visa and Mastercard.

5. RISK AND TITLE
5.1 The Products will be at your risk from the time of delivery.
5.2 Ownership of the Products will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges.
 

6. DAMAGE
6.1 If you're dissatisfied with your box or any products in it due to being unfit for use, please contact our customer service team on our website or social media platforms or contact us at online@champneys.com. We retain the right to request the return of any damaged goods at your cost by recorded delivery to The Champneys Edit where the products will be inspected. If the fault is agreed, a full credit or refund will be given for the returned goods & return postage charges incurred. Champneyswill consider refunds for any boxes at our discretion. Champneys reserves the right to refuse a refund.    

7. CANCELLATION AND RETURNS
7.1 You can cancel your subscription at any point. Cancellation can be made online at online@champneys.com.
You remain responsible for ensuring that any such change or cancellation is not only transmitted by you, but received by us, in time for the deadline.
7.2 If you cancel this contract, we will not reimburse to you any payments received from you, including the costs of delivery.
7.3 You are entitled to cancel a payment for the subscription or products, where fraudulent use has been made of your payment card by a person not acting, or to be treated as acting, as your agent. If you have already made a payment where your payment card has been so fraudulently used, then you should approach your card issuer for recredit to your card.
7.4 We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your use of our service, for any or no reason whatsoever. One reason that we may do so is if we believe that you are in breach of any obligation under these terms. If we terminate your use of our service as a result of a breach of any obligation under these terms, such termination would be immediate and without notice.
7.5 Product Returns: Unfortunately due to hygiene reasons, Champneys does not accept product returns. Unless the product has been damaged and it’s return is specifically requested by Champneys 

Products and Online Shop

3 FOR 2

The 3 for 2 is on selected products only. Three qualifying items need to be selected in order to receive one free. At Champneys we give you the best offer for the customer - we will take all the qualifying products in the basket and line them up in descending price order and you will get every third product free, rather than just the overall cheapest. For example: 

The value of the lowest priced product out of three mixed items selected will be the value of the discount applied. 

If three of the same item are included in your basket with a mixture of other items selected, then the third item of the same product is free, regardless of the other items being cheaper. For example: 3 x Exotic Retreat Candle & Oil Diffusers at £20 each + 3 mixed products e.g. £14, £12, £10 = £20 + £10 discount applied.

If three of the same item plus 3 of the same of another item are included in your basket, then the third item of the two different products will be free. For example: 3 x Exotic Retreat Candle & Oil Diffusers at £20 each + 3 Distant Shores Collection at £12 each = £20 + £12 discount applied.

RETURNS POLICY

We hope you are delighted with your Champneys order. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, we can offer a refund or exchange providing that items are returned within 14 working days of receiving your order. We recommend you send returns via recorded delivery and obtain proof of posting. Returned items must be unopened, unused and in their original condition. We may refuse an exchange or refund if items are non-saleable. Please note that if you have purchased your products via Boots, you will need to arrange your return or exchange with them directly. FAULTY ITEMS

We are always very disappointed on the rare occasions our customers receive a faulty item. Please contact us via the customer service contact us form within 14 days of receiving the order for a refund or exchange. We will send you a recorded free post sticker to cover the return postage cost for the faulty item. If you request a refund or exchange, it will be processed within 10 working days of us receiving the faulty item.

FOURTEEN DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD

You have the legal right to cancel your order within fourteen days from the date of receipt of the goods if you send us a notice of cancellation in writing and return the goods to us in their original, unopened and unused condition. Where goods are delivered to a third party you may also exercise this right if you are able to return the goods to us in their original, unopened and unused condition. Refunds will be made upon receipt of goods, excluding the original postage costs, gift wrapping or any other additional services, within 14 working days. Please notify us of your wish to cancel via the online shop contact us page.

PRICES, DELIVERY AND PAYMENT

The price of a product shall be as stated on this website at the time you place your order except in the case of obvious error. We try and ensure that all prices on our Website are accurate but errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item to you. In those circumstances, we will inform you of the correct price to you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If you cancel a refund will be made to your card immediately.

Resort Reservations

RESERVATIONS

Book with confidence: Spa days and stays booked after 1st June 2020, for arrivals between 31st July – 31st May 2021 are fully refundable in the event of our resorts having to close due to Covid-19 restrictions.

All bookings can be made either online at www.champneys.com or over the phone with our Reservations team at 08433162222.  You must be over 18 to make a booking.

All bookings require full payment to secure your booking.  In the event of non-payment for whatever reason Champneys may refuse admission.  On payment an email confirmation will be sent out to the lead guest on the booking, please check the details on the confirmation carefully.  If any details are incorrect or need to be changed please inform our Reservations Team as soon as possible.

Any amendments made to your booking are subject to availability and an amendment charge of £10 per person to cover our administration costs. (any amendments made within 24 hrs of booking will not incur an administration cost).  Amendments can only be made by the lead guest on the booking unless the lead guests advises otherwise. Amendments can be made up to 24hrs of the arrival time stated on your booking confirmation.  No changes can be made within 24hrs of arrival time and cancellation charges as outlined below will be applied.

Please be aware that any change in date may involve a change in price of your day/ stay and an amendment charge being payable.  If the price payable is the greater than the original cost payment will need to be made at the time of the amendment.  No difference will be refunded except where the change of date results in a lower price.

Your booking is secure once we have received the required payment in full and a confirmation has been sent out to you.  This should be within 24 hours of payment being made and if you do not receive a confirmation within these timescales please contact us straight away.

The most up to date pricing is shown on our website.  Any prices shown on our website, quoted by our team and on any communications are subject to regular review and change.  The agreed price for your day/ stay will be quoted when you make a reservation and will be shown on the confirmation.  Any pricing shown on our website or other communications are subject to review and can change throughout the day.  Any fluctuating prices will not be reflected on your secure booking and no refunds or credits will be given in the event they fluctuate lower than your secured booking.  All packages and treatments are subject to availability.  Champneys reserves the right to withdraw spa treatments, packages and offers at any time.

We have the right, at our sole discretion to refuse to secure any reservation.  Where we have indicated that we will not accept a booking or your presence within our resorts we reserve the right to cancel any bookings you have made or refuse entry.  If we do so we will refund any payment made but no compensation will be given.

We have the right to cancel your booking, or to instruct you and your party to leave the premises immediately, without compensation or refund should your behaviours not comply with to our terms relating to behaviour and conduct.

We reserve the right in exceptional circumstances (force majeure) to offer an alternative resort as a destination, date of stay or place a reservation on hold.  We can also offer monetary value vouchers in lieu of a booking cancelled by Champneys.  If we have to cancel a booking due to (force majure) we may offer a full refund to the payee if we deem appropriate.  No refund will be given for early departure unless caused by significant acts of negligence on the part of Champneys or its employees. 

 

CANCELLATION PROTECTION

We are pleased to be able to provide a cancellation and curtailment protection for £9 per person that can be applied to protect your monies paid. Our cancellation and curtailment protection refunds all your deposit or full payment made (except the protection charge) if you have to cancel due to:

You or a member of your party is called for Jury Service or as a witness in a court of law.

A fire, flood or storm occurs at your home or the home of a member of your party within 14 days of date of arrival or during the course of your visit, which makes your home uninhabitable.

A burglary occurs at your home or the home of a member of your party within 14 days of date of your arrival or during the course of your visit.

You or a member of your party serving in the HM Forces is subject to an unforeseen posting (other than arising from war or similar hostilities); and you are prevented from commencing your visit.

You or a member of your party, or close relative suffers a serious incapacitating (and at the time of making your booking not pre-existing) illness, accident or death.

If payment or part payment is made by a voucher, the voucher will be replaced for an identical voucher as the voucher redeemed for the booking, for a further year's redemption period, if appropriate under the conditions of the cancellation and curtailment protection scheme.

 

TREATMENT BOOKINGS

All treatment bookings can be made either online at www.champneys.com or over the phone with our Reservations team at 08433162222.  You must be over 18 to make a booking.  We recommend booking treatments as early as possible before you visit.  Champneys does not guarantee treatment availability at any time.

All bookings require full payment on booking to secure your treatment.  On payment an email confirmation will be sent out to the email address provide, please check the details on the confirmation carefully.  If any details are incorrect or need to be changed please inform our Reservations Team as soon as possible.  All treatments are subject to availability and all prices are subject to revision. 

If you choose to cancel your treatment booking please contact us as soon as possible however a fee will be charged as below:

Within 7 days of treatment date – 50%

Within 24 hours of treatment – 100%

Your treatment booking is secure once we have received the required payment in full and a confirmation has been sent out to you.  This should be within 24 hours of payment being made and if you do not receive a confirmation within these timescales please contact us straight away.  In some circumstances Champneys may need to change the times of your treatment and or the therapist.  In these circumstances we will try and inform you.  Please note Champneys uses both male and female therapist that can be booked on preference however is always subject to availability and cannot always be accommodated.

Inclusive treatments are not transferable and are non-refundable.

You must be over 16 to attend one of our treatments.  If you are under 18 you must also be accompanied by an adult during your treatment.


SPA PACKAGES 

All spa packages and offers are subject to availability. Champneys reserves the right to withdraw spa packages and offers at any time. 


GIFT VOUCHERS  

Please ensure that you bring your redeemable gift voucher to the resort to present on arrival. Non presentation of voucher will necessitate a charge being made until the voucher is presented. If full or part payment for your visit is by a gift voucher this will become void if you fail to arrive. All other cancellation charges are shown under ‘Cancellation’, except that a refund cannot be made against a gift voucher. However, we will be pleased to hold the balance of the value of the voucher for future use. Gift vouchers can be redeemed online with the exception of spa products. Guest questionnaire voucher codes pre-fixed with 'CQ' or ‘SV’ can be used as payment in resort towards additional items purchased including treatments, services, products (excluding concessions such as Elemis, Clarins and Carita). Champneys gift vouchers or gift cards, cannot be used to buy another voucher or gift card. Champneys gift vouchers must be redeemed within 24 months from issue date. Champneys will not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged gift vouchers. Please treat gift cards as cash. To redeem gift cards on treatments and services at one of our resorts, a spa day or stay package must be purchased prior in order to book and attend the treatment (excluding Eastwell Manor and Mottram Hall).


MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL BREAKDOWNS

Any mechanical or electrical breakdowns which occur on the premises are usually beyond our control, although we will try to repair any such fault as soon as possible. No refunds will be given unless any such breakdown is due to the negligence of the Company or its employees or agents.


VALUABLES

No responsibility can be accepted by the Company for the safety of money or valuables of any kind brought to the health resorts whether placed in the safe or not. If you do bring valuable items it is essential they are covered by your own insurance for the period of your stay. The Company will not be liable, under any circumstances whatsoever, for damage, injury or consequential loss, however caused, to our residents, their property and belongings unless it is solely due to negligence of the Company, its employees or agents.

Mobile phones are not permitted in any of the public areas.

CHILDREN & PETS

The Company regrets that we do not have the facilities or accommodation for children under the age of 16. We cannot allow guests to bring pets either, but good boarding kennels are available locally.


DOCTOR

The health resorts and day spas are not alternative medical centres, and do not have a resident doctor. Guests are advised to consult with their family doctor about the need to limit or avoid our full range of treatments and facilities, for example inclusive treatments, steam room or sauna.

The Champneys Group pursues a policy of continuous development of fitness, health and beauty treatments and techniques. We therefore reserve the right to make changes which will be beneficial to our guests. Notification of specific changes will be given where relevant. Should a guest choose not to proceed with an alternative treatment that may have been substituted for a specific choice, no treatment cancellation charge will be made.


HEALTH & WELLBEING

Your health and well-being is our paramount concern. We feel that you are the best person to be in control of your health. We ask that you seek professional medical advice about any conditions or concerns you have and act appropriately on this advice, even if it means not undertaking exercise, a treatment or class. We ask that you let us know if you feel unwell for any reason whilst on our premises so we can help. We request that you read and take on board any instructions information or notifications about use of equipment or the contraindications for specific treatments.  


PHOTOGRAPHY

Please note that photography used on the website accommodation pages is for illustrative purposes only and is not a guarantee of the exact room you will receive at booking. Many of our rooms are individually designed, however the image used is of the same room type.


UPGRADE POLICY 

If you wish to upgrade a 25 minute inclusive treatment or your inclusive manicure or pedicure, included in your package, to any other 55 minute or longer, or higher priced treatment from our list, we are happy to arrange this for you (subject to availability). There is no limit on the number of 25 minute treatments you can upgrade but this offer is on a one-for-one basis. With our Shared Indulgence treatment, each guest may upgrade to one treatment. The price difference will be payable. Upgrades are not available against hair services. (Please Note: Treatments are not transferable between guests and Thalassotherapy has a value of £10 as part of a package or as a pre-booked treatment. Inclusive treatments are non-refundable). MOTTRAM HALL

The terms and conditions outlined below apply to all bookings with Mottram Hall whether you make them online at www.mottramhall.com or by telephone or in person.  If you have an event, conference or wedding with us additional terms will be detailed in the contract.

Check In and Check Out

Check In is from 3pm onwards and rooms must be vacated by 11am. Late check-out may be available on request, please ask at reception and we'll notify you of any additional charges.

The Registration Form at check-in must be signed by the person who is responsible for the reservation and who must be 18 years old or over.  By signing this form you enter a contract with the hotel and accept responsibility for all charges occurred during this stay.  In the event a third party has initially confirmed payment for any charges but fails to settle the account, you confirm responsibility settlement of all charges accordingly. 

The Hotel reserves the right to decline check-in for any reason at its absolute discretion.

The Hotel also reserves the right to terminate any letting / usage of its facilities if it has reason to believe that the continued occupation of the bedroom may be detrimental to the well-being of other guests or staff at Mottram Hall or detrimental to the business interests of the Company. 

No refunds will be given if the occupation is terminated under the above or if the occupant decides upon early departure.

Types of rates and cancellation terms

Best Available Flexible Rate: When you book a flexible rate, Mottram Hall will take full pre-payment from your debit/credit card at the time of booking. All guests must present a payment card on arrival in their name. You can cancel your BAR rate booking up to 4pm one day prior to the day of arrival without penalty. The original payment will be refunded to the card provided on booking. If the booking is cancelled after 4pm the day prior to arrival then the full payment is forfeited.

Promotional offers: When you book a promotional package, including seasonal promotions, you will be asked for full pre-payment unless stated otherwise. All promotional packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. We reserve the right to withdraw any offer at any such time.

Golf package - you will be asked for a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The balance is payable on departure or in the event of cancellation or non-arrival.

All packages and offers are subject to availability. Mottram Hall or Champneys reserves the right to withdraw packages and offers at any time. The Hotel reserves the right to decline a booking for any reason at its absolute discretion. 

Events, weddings and conference terms and conditions are detailed on the individual contracts.

The most up to date pricing is shown on our website.  Any prices shown on our website, quoted by our team and on any communications are subject to regular review and change.  The agreed price for your day/ stay will be quoted when you make a reservation and will be shown on the confirmation.  Any pricing shown on our website or other communications are subject to review and can change throughout the day.  Any fluctuating prices will not be reflected on your secure booking and no refunds or credits will be given in the event they fluctuate lower than your secured booking.  All packages and treatments are subject to availability.  Champneys reserves the right to withdraw spa treatments, packages and offers at any time.

 

We have the right, at our sole discretion to refuse to secure any reservation.  Where we have indicated that we will not accept a booking or your presence within our resorts we reserve the right to cancel any bookings you have made or refuse entry.  If we do so we will refund any payment made but no compensation will be given.

We have the right to cancel your booking, or to instruct you and your party to leave the premises immediately, without compensation or refund should your behaviours not comply with to our terms relating to behaviour and conduct.

 

We reserve the right in exceptional circumstances (force majeure) to offer an alternative resort as a destination, date of stay or place a reservation on hold.  We can also offer monetary value vouchers in lieu of a booking cancelled by Champneys.  If we have to cancel a booking due to (force majeure) we may offer a full refund to the payee if we deem appropriate.  No refund will be given for early departure unless caused by significant acts of negligence on the part of Champneys or its employees. 

 

Cancellation Protection

 

We are pleased to be able to provide a cancellation and curtailment protection for £9 per person that can be applied to protect your monies paid. Our cancellation and curtailment protection refunds all your deposit or full payment made (except the protection charge) if you have to cancel due to:

You or a member of your party is called for Jury Service or as a witness in a court of law.

 

A fire, flood or storm occurs at your home or the home of a member of your party within 14 days of date of arrival or during the course of your visit, which makes your home uninhabitable.

 

A burglary occurs at your home or the home of a member of your party within 14 days of date of your arrival or during the course of your visit.

 

You or a member of your party serving in the HM Forces is subject to an unforeseen posting (other than arising from war or similar hostilities); and you are prevented from commencing your visit.

You or a member of your party, or close relative suffers a serious incapacitating (and at the time of making your booking not pre-existing) illness, accident or death. 

 

If payment or part payment is made by a voucher, the voucher will be replaced for an identical voucher as the voucher redeemed for the booking, for a further year's redemption period, if appropriate under the conditions of the cancellation and curtailment protection scheme.

 

Treatment Bookings

All treatment bookings can be made either online at www.mottramhall.com or over the phone with our Reservations team at 0843 561 2193.  You must be over 18 to make a booking.  We recommend booking treatments as early as possible before you visit.  Champneys does not guarantee treatment availability at any time.

 

All bookings require full payment on booking to secure your treatment.  On payment an email confirmation will be sent out to the email address provide, please check the details on the confirmation carefully.  If any details are incorrect or need to be changed please inform our Reservations Team as soon as possible.  All treatments are subject to availability and all prices are subject to revision. 

 

If you choose to cancel your treatment booking please contact us as soon as possible however a fee will be charged as below:

 

Within 7 days of treatment date – 50%

Within 24 hours of treatment – 100%

What if I need to change my booking?

Bookings should be cancelled by calling 0843 561 2193 - see below for office hours. Please note calls to our 0843 numbers will cost 7p per minute plus your telephone company's access charge. Bookings made through any other third-party site should be cancelled directly with them.

Please note that for advanced purchase or any promotional offers, the full amount is taken at the time of booking. This rate is non-refundable and non-transferrable.  We are unable to accept Maestro cards as a form of guarantee. Upon failure to settle the account on departure, charges will be applied to the guest’s credit card.  VAT is included in the displayed rate unless otherwise stated. Advanced purchase saver rates and promotional packages can be cancelled but you will still be charged the full amount for the entire cost of your stay. Where necessary, we advise you take out suitable travel insurance.

Bookings for groups in excess of 9 rooms will be given their own specific terms and conditions which will be detailed on your booking.

 

Call Charges:

Please note that calls will be charged at local rate from BT landlines. Other networks may be higher and from mobiles considerably more. Please note calls to our 0843 numbers will cost 7p per minute plus your telephone company's access charge.

Charging Items to your room

Please carry your charge card with you if you wish to charge any items to your room during your stay with us. If you have lost or forgotten your card, please contact reception. When you arrive at the Mottram Hall, all reservations will require a pre-authorisation with a credit card or cash deposit to cover any extras during your stay. All incidentals should be settled prior to departure. Mottram Hall accept payments by American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Cash.

Drinks

Only alcoholic drinks purchased from the hotel may be consumed in the hotel. We reserve the right to charge the appropriate corkage charge where guests bring in their own alcohol.

Health & Wellbeing

Your health and well-being is our paramount concern. We feel that you are the best person to be in control of your health. We ask that you seek professional medical advice about any conditions or concerns you have and act appropriately on this advice, even if it means not undertaking exercise, a treatment or class. We ask that you let us know if you feel unwell for any reason whilst on our premises so we can help. We request that you read and take on board any instructions information or notifications about use of equipment or the contraindications for specific treatments.  

First Aid

We aim to ensure that a First Aider is always available. If you require any medical attention, please contact Reception on 0. For serious medical emergencies call 999.

Spa Breaks

Offers are based on two guests sharing a standard double or twin bedroom.  Supplements apply for sole occupancy of a double or twin and any room upgrades.

If you have booked a spa break with us, we ask that you arrive 15 - 20 minutes before your scheduled treatment time, so you can complete our consultation form and begin your relaxation experience.  If you have any pre-existing physical or medical condition's including pregnancy, please let our spa teams or booking agents know at the time of booking.

You should leave your bedroom by 11am on the day of departure. Late check-out may be available on request, simply ask at reception and we'll notify you of any additional charges.

Does Mottram Hall have leisure facilities:

Access to facilities is not included in all our rates.  You can add evening access (5pm to closing) for £15.00 per person or morning access (opening to 10am) for £15.00 per person.  If you wish to add use of the facilities between 10am and 5pm this can be done on arrival to the hotel.  This is subject to availability and cannot be prebooked prior to arrival.  To guarantee access we advise booking one of our spa packages.  Prices start from £55 per person per day which includes complimentary use of Spa Robes and Flip Flops to take home. Overnight spa packages include full access to the facilities. If you want full access, we recommend booking one of our residential spa breaks or spa days.

Golf Breaks

Mottram Hall has its own 18-hole golf courses which guests may use for an additional fee. Golf breaks can be booked through our Reservations Team on 01625 828135. Tee times must be booked directly with the hotel or online, before you arrive.

Before you play

We encourage all our guests to arrive at least 45 minutes before their tee time so they can hit some warm up balls at our Golf Academy. If your game isn't up to scratch, then please give us a call at the hotel and book in a lesson with one of our expert PGA Pros.

Buggies

Buggies are permitted on the course from £35.00 per buggy. If you have not already booked your buggies, please contact the Golf Shop at the hotel and we will be more than happy to add these on to your reservation. Please note that the availability of buggies is always weather dependent and a decision will be made by the head greenkeeper at the beginning of each day, this is to ensure no undue damage is caused to the golf course.

Busy Periods

During busy periods, please be aware, it is our policy that all tee times are played as fourballs. Therefore, where required you will be expected to pair up with other guests.

Dress Code

Proper golfing attire is required at all times on the Golf Course, (i.e. no jeans, trainers, T-shirts or tracksuits). Players may wear tailored shorts with long socks, proper golf shoes must be worn on the course.

 

What happens if we cannot play golf due to the weather?

The golf course will be deemed as playable unless the Course Manager (or deputy) determines that the golf course is unplayable and closes the golf course. In the event that the golf course is closed, the hotel will find an alternative date or issue bad weather vouchers.  Once play has commenced rights are waived to bad weather vouchers and / or refund.

If the course is closed due to weather 24 hrs prior to your event and the hotel expects you will not be able to play the course, the hotel will contact you to notify you.  You can choose to either cancel your stay and provided this is rescheduled in the next 12 months no cancellation fee will apply, or attend your event and be provided with a wet weather voucher for a return round of golf.

Should the weather be poor on the day of the event and the course is closed, all catering, accommodation and additional arrangements will continue as planned and we will provide each golfer with a voucher for a complimentary round of golf.

Price

We reserve the right to alter the price of any advertised golf break, including but not limited to any pricing error.  A full prepayment is required if booking a promotional rate.  Promotional rates are non-refundable and non-transferrable.  For non-promotional rates, customers can cancel up to 4pm on the day prior to arrival. Customers that don't arrive or stay will be charged 100%.  In circumstances of poor weather, we reserve the right to cancel any booking made on a promotional rate and rebook on an alternative date. We will give a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

 

 

 

Do you allow children?

Mottram Hall welcome families.  Up to one child aged 16 and under can stay when sharing a standard bedroom with at least one full paying adult.  If your children, aged 16 and under, stay in their own room, they will be charged at the full adult non-promotional best available rate at the time of booking.

Upgrade charges will apply if you need a larger bedroom to accommodate your family for 2 children ore more. When sharing a bedroom with your children, your room could include a foldaway bed, so please ensure that you ask at the time of booking.

Children aged 0 - 4 can stay and eat for free. Children aged 5 - 12 years will be charged £5 per child for breakfast and children aged 13 - 16 years will be charged £7.50 per child for breakfast. All other meals are chargeable as taken; children's dinner menus include small and large portion sizes to cater for children of all ages.

Christmas and New Year residential packages are subject to different terms and conditions, which are available on request.

Children between 3 and 16 are welcome to use the swimming pool at the hotel during their stay as long as they are accompanied by an adult.  Under 3’s are note permitted to use the pool. Please note that there are designated family swimming times which are 8am to 10am and 5pm to 7pm daily. For health and safety reasons, children are unable to use the gym, sauna or steam room where available.

Mottram Hall has a minimum age requirement of 16 years old for booking a hotel room. Normal credit facilities apply.

Do you allow dogs in the hotel?

With the exception of guide dogs and assistant dogs, no dogs are allowed in Mottram Hall. Guide dogs are allowed throughout the hotel free of charge, including the restaurant and lounge.

What are the dining facilities at Mottram Hall?

At Mottram Hall, we are passionate about our food quality and service and we trust you'll have an enjoyable experience with us. If you choose to add dinner to your break at the time of booking, you will receive an allowance per person to spend on food in the restaurant, lounge or via room service. If you choose to dine from the room service menu an additional tray charge will apply. This allowance will be detailed on your confirmation email.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you'll find our breakfast buffets packed full of fruit, wholesome cereals, a vast array of breads and spreads, a continental section and a full English or Scottish breakfast buffet. If you do have any special dietary requirements, please do let us know before you arrive.

Does Mottram Hall cater for disabled guests?

Mottram Hall complies with the access requirements of the local disability legislation. If you have special requirements, please inform us at the time of booking.

Do you have smoking rooms?

Mottram Hall is smoke free and penalty fees will be applied if you smoke in the hotel. The penalty charge is £250 per day for smoking in the hotel.

Travel Insurance / General Insurance 

We recommend that all guests or event / wedding organisers take out an appropriate insurance against cancellations of bedrooms or events.  Personal circumstances cannot be taking into account as reasons to avoid contractually and above mentioned cancellation charges.   

 

Hotel Proprietors Act 1956

Loss of or Damage to Guests’ Property 

Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, an hotel proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of the hotel. 

This liability however— 

a)     extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel; 

b)     is limited to £50 for any one article and a total of £100 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of 

         property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody; 

c)     does not cover motor-cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live 

        animals. 

 

This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this hotel or that liability thereunder attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any particular case.

 

 

 

City Spa

TREATMENT CANCELLATION

24 hours' notice is required to avoid being charged. All treatments are subject to availability and all prices are subject to revision but are normally held at the price current on the day the request is received. 

OFFERS

All offers are subject to availability. Champneys reserves the right to withdraw offers at any time.

£5 CREDIT FOR ONLINE BOOKING OFFER

This offer applies to online treatment bookings at Champneys City Spas only. The £5 credit can only be redeemed on a Champneys product or Champneys treatment. The £5 credit can only be used on the day of treatment. Future treatments must be paid for in full to benefit from the £5 credit. Credit used towards another treatment booking must be used within two months. Only valid for the individual person who booked the online treatment. Please request your £5 credit on departure from your appointment. Excludes resorts. Subject to change. 

CHILDREN

The Company regrets that we do not have the facilities for children under the age of 16 to visit the spa. We are unable to allow children to wait on premises whilst their parent has an appointment, for health and safety reasons. 

GIFT VOUCHERS

Please ensure that you bring your redeemable gift voucher to the City Spa to present on arrival. Non presentation of voucher will necessitate a charge being made until the voucher is presented. If full or part payment for your visit is by a gift voucher this will become void if you fail to arrive. All other cancellation charges are shown under ‘Cancellation’, except that a refund cannot be made against a gift voucher. However, we will be pleased to hold the balance of the value of the voucher for future use. Gift vouchers can be redeemed online with the exception of spa products. Champneys gift vouchers must be redeemed within 24 months from issue date. Champneys will not accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged gift vouchers. Please treat gift cards as cash. Cannot be used on concession products such as Elemis, Decleor and Mama Mio. Champneys City Spas gift vouchers are now accepted at Champneys Resorts. To redeem gift cards on treatments and services at one of our resorts, a spa day package must be purchased in order to book a treatment.

MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL BREAKDOWNS

Any mechanical or electrical breakdowns which occur on the premises are usually beyond our control, although we will try to repair any such fault as soon as possible. No refunds will be given unless any such breakdown is due to the negligence of the Company or its employees or agents.

VALUABLES

No responsibility can be accepted by the Company for the safety of money or valuables of any kind brought to Champneys City Spas. If you do bring valuable items it is essential they are covered by your own insurance. The Company will not be liable, under any circumstances whatsoever, for damage, injury or consequential loss, however caused, to our customers, their property and belongings unless it is solely due to negligence of the Company, its employees or agents.
