About Gusbourne
Just a short drive from Eastwell Manor, in the beautiful Kent countryside, you'll find the Gusbourne Estate – one of England’s most celebrated wine producers. Since planting their first vines in 2004, Gusbourne has been driven by a clear vision: to craft the finest vintage wines using only grapes grown in their own vineyards.
With 60 hectares in nearby Appledore, Kent, and a further 30 hectares in West Sussex, Gusbourne cultivates exceptional Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. These carefully selected Burgundian clones produce lower yields of intensely flavourful fruit – ideal for the traditional method of sparkling wine production.
Their first releases in 2010, the Brut Reserve 2006 and Blanc de Blancs 2006, were met with critical acclaim, and the estate has continued to collect prestigious awards ever since. Today, Gusbourne remains a proud standard-bearer for English winemaking, and we’re delighted to be bringing a taste of their work to Eastwell Manor this summer.
