Feel Good Feb Day Retreat

with Carla Williams

This beautiful Feel Good February wellbeing day retreat is suitable for all levels.

During the day you will experience an energising yoga class, a Kunda Dance session through your chakras to uplift your spirits and feel joyful. Then beautiful Yin & Restorative Yoga leading into a blissful Yoga Nidra & Meditation - you are bound to leave the resort floating out feeling fabulous.

This first session will focus mainly on an organic flow of yoga postures working organically through postures so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.

The second session will focus mainly on chakra dance vibes to release tension and add an element of fun to uplift and stimulate energy centers. Both the yoga practice and chakra dance will be deeply nurturing and give you the opportunity to connect your mind, body and soul.

The final part of the day we move to a deeper relaxing aspect of the day, with a nurturing Yin Yoga and soothing Yoga Nidra and meditation workshop to unwind.

Why do yoga?

The short answer is that yoga makes you feel better. Practicing the postures, breathing exercises and meditation makes you healthier in body, mind and spirit. Yoga lets you tune in, chill out, shape up -all at the same time.

Specifically, research shows that yoga helps manage or control anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, headaches, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, stress and other conditions and diseases. What's more, yoga:
  • Improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina
  • Reduces stress and tension
  • Boosts self esteem
  • Improves concentration and creativity
  • Lowers fat
  • Improves circulation
  • Stimulates the immune system
  • Creates sense of wellbeing and calm

And that's just the surface stuff. In fact, most of the benefits mentioned above are secondary to yoga's original purpose.

Developed in India, yoga is a spiritual practice that has been evolving for the last 5,000 years or so. Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the classical language of India.
