Champneys x The House of Hormones (THOH) Experience

Step away from the noise of everyday life and into a scientifically grounded, psychologically led experience designed to help you truly understand your body and feel supported, validated and empowered in your hormonal health.
Set within the tranquil surroundings of Champneys Forest Mere in Hampshire, this immersive retreat, developed in collaboration with The House of Hormones (THOH), brings together expert psychology and nutrition-led hormone guidance, alongside restorative movement, mindfulness and a beautifully curated dining experience – all designed to support you emotionally, physically and mentally.

From the moment you arrive and are welcomed with nourishing refreshments, the day unfolds as a carefully guided journey. Moving from understanding and validation, through to clarity, personalised direction and deep restoration.

The day begins with an insightful and validating session led by Leah Christian, Psychologist, Certified Menopause Wellness Coach and Founder of The House of Hormones, exploring the real-life experience of hormonal imbalance.

Together, we’ll look beyond labels and surface-level symptoms to understand:

• The often-overlooked signs of hormonal change.
• The psychological and emotional impact of perimenopause and menopause.
• Mood, anxiety, confidence, identity shifts and cognitive changes .
• Why so many women feel dismissed – and how to confidently advocate for yourself.
• Through gentle reflection and shared understanding, this session creates a powerful sense of validation, recognition and connection. Helping you realise you’re not alone, and that what you’re experiencing is both real and valid.

At the heart of the day is the Hormone Harmony Table - a beautifully curated three-course lunch, specially designed by Champneys Senior Nutritionist to nourish and support your hormones.

Each dish is thoughtfully crafted using seasonal ingredients and combining high-quality proteins, fibre-rich plants and healthy fats. Nutritious and delicious all wrapped in the beautiful presentation of Champneys food - This is food designed to work with your body: satisfying, flavour-led and deeply nourishing. Supporting blood sugar balance, mood, energy and hormonal stability, while demonstrating how everyday choices can support hormonal harmony without restriction.

The afternoon begins with Your Personal Hormone Balance Plan (workshop). A guided, psychologically led workshop — the key transformational moment of the day. This focused goal-setting session allows you to move from insight into clear, personalised action:

Identify your key hormone-related challenges
Reflect on patterns around sleep, energy, mood and stress
Define realistic, supportive next steps
Create your own Personal Hormonal Balance Plan

This ensures you leave not just informed, but with something tangible, personalised and actionable.

Building on this, Leah will guide you through a powerful session focused on psychological tools for hormone resilience including:
Nervous system regulation
Understanding stress and cortisol
Boundaries, rest and recovery
Mindset shifts to support midlife vitality

With the opportunity for live Q&A, this session brings personalised support into the room — helping you translate insight into real, sustainable change for everyday life.

As the afternoon unfolds, the focus gently shifts towards restoration, calm and reconnection.

A hormone-focused mindfulness session invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect. Supporting the nervous system is a key foundation for hormonal balance.

This is followed by a deeply immersive Hormone Harmony Sound Bath, where gentle sound frequencies encourage full-body relaxation, emotional release and a sense of calm and safety, allowing the body’s natural rhythms to rebalance.

Guests are invited to then have time to unwind, enjoy the spa facilities and peaceful surroundings, or to enhance the experience with our recommended spa treatment- Champneys Body Ritual. This 50-minute treatment combines a soothing hot stone back massage with a calming scalp and foot massage, designed to ease physical tension, support nervous system recovery and promote deep relaxation and restoration.

This retreat is a day designed for you and has been carefully considered to ensure you leave feeling: Heard and understood Informed and empowered Calm and restored Equipped with practical, realistic tools Clear on your next steps and confident in supporting your hormonal health This is more than a retreat. It’s an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and begin a more supportive, informed relationship with your body — guided by expert insight, and grounded in real-life application.
