Mastering the Menopause

with Sue Woodd & Kim Blair

Every woman will experience the menopause in their own unique way. The Menopause may make you feel your body is no longer under your control. You may experience challenging symptoms like brain fog, hot flushes, lethargy and sleep disturbances.
In an ideal world each woman would be making this journey with support and education, but sadly there is very little emphasis put on the menopause in GP and Medical training, around 2hours worth. This is slowly changing thanks to the efforts of a few inspired people like Dr Louise Newson and Petra Coveney, who have shared their knowledge and experience with Yoga and Tai Chi teachers like Sue Woodd and Kim Blair.

Research has shown that Yoga and Tai Chi is beneficial for women going through the different stages of the menopause. The menopause can last up to 15 years and some experience symptoms beyond that.
