Join us for a three-night cycling adventure designed not only to elevate your athletic performance, but with its expertly coached sessions and workshops, to elevate your training knowledge. 
We've teamed up with RIAK Fitness – a premier cycle and triathlon coaching company – for a fun and insightful experience both on and off the bike.

The training camp features spectacular rides in scenic Hertfordshire alongside indoor cycling sessions, and strength sessions. In addition, you can relax back into the world’s premier health spa where you can enjoy workshops on training on how to manage your own training, seminars on nutrition and hydration nutrition and services selected to aid your self-improvement and overall fitness. Relax, recover, and refuel while making new friends and gaining the knowledge you need to find a greater balance in your life.

Who should attend?

This experience is for regular cyclist use to group riding and are looking to take their training and performance to the next level.

You can use your own bike or hire a road bike from Champneys.

Riak Fitness will assess every guest for suitability and reserve the right to disallow participation.

How does it work?

3 Night Retreat Inclusions

Your stay includes:
  • Arrival from 2pm
  • 3 nights' accommodation
  • Healthy meals throughout your stay
  • Up to 20 additional Champneys fitness classes per day
  • Use of Champneys facilities
  • Option to add spa treatments
  • A fluffy robe to wear during your visit, Champneys flip flops and tote to keep
  • Depart at 4pm

  • You'll need: Cycling clothing (including shoes, gloves, helmet, glasses, windproof jacket), gym kit (including trainers), smart/casual clothing for dinners

  • Helmets are available when hiring Champneys bikes

Group ride including hill reps on the infamous Tom’s Hill in the lovely village of Aldbury

Your Time Off Road

Each day you’ll learn from our experts as they provide the guidance to improve your cycling and overall health and wellbeing.

The following retreat options are also available:
Continue the progress and set up a consultation with your RIAK coach who will then produce a training plan tailored to your requirements and aligned with your performance goals. 

Every cyclist should perform strength work to ensure muscular balance, develop inherent strength and improve mobility. If requested, your RIAK coach will conduct a screening of your biomechanics and produce a bespoke 8-week strength programme for you to take away. 

Our massage therapists will ensure a treatment that maximises both recovery and relaxation.

Our Nutritionist can design specific menu plan – based on portion size and macronutrients - to fuel your daily cycling needs and training.

Daily recovery options are available, and they include: a guided myofascial session with foam roller; Pressotherapy to improve circulation and recovery and Neoqui great for deep relaxation of the muscles.

There is a minimum number of people required for the break to run. Breaks will be cancelled if numbers are insufficient two weeks before the start of the break.

If you find the retreat you were looking for is sold out or your preferred room type is not available, please email cer@champneys.com and include the title and date of the retreat you would like to book.
