Led by Master yoga instructor and fitness expert Sue Woodd with Actress and Yoga Instructor Laura Wills, both renowned in the Yoga world for their commitment and passion for taking Yoga to people from all walks of life. Sue has over 30 years’ experience in yoga and wellbeing and between them they run the National Yoga based Programme for Children 'Club Morgan'!

What It's About
This is one of five very special Seasonal retreats designed just for Champney's for over loaded working professionals; including Doctors, Nurses, Teachers or those working in the business or corporate world. Statistics show that professionals in their field suffer from the highest levels of stress at work - Yoga and Mindfulness experts Sue Woodd and Laura Wills will be offering simple but powerful physical and mental tools to help cope with stress, anxiety or depression caused by work load. Perfect for a beginners and intermediate.
Seasonal Yoga is inspired by ancient Chinese health systems and is a gentle practice specifically designed to send energy flowing through the Meridian lines (energy pathways of the body). This practice will re-vitalize all your systems and organs with energies corresponding to different seasons of the year - putting the mind and body where it is supposed to be - in harmony with nature. By making Seasonal Yoga and mindfulness an integral part of your daily routine you will protect your health, enhance your energy and improve your professional performance.
All retreats start with a simple introduction to the basics of Seasonal yoga and mindfulness - we then move into the key focus of the season we are in, taking you deeper into the energy of the season and exploring the miracle of living our lives in union with cycles nature.
This Autumn Retreat is about learning to let go of stress and improve lung function through Pranayama (breath work) whilst also learning to align movement with the breath. Explore Vinyansa yoga (yoga flow with breath) Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling.
Autumn values include clarity, endurance, discipline and structure in our practice and in our daily lives. Having a positive approach while fostering the ability to keep what will benefit us and let go of what is toxic or what we no longer need or value.
Other physical foci will be on improve Lung function and oxygen up take, examining respiration on all levels while also strengthen the organs of elimination (large intestine).
You will be shown exercises used for centuries to open up the meridians and stimulate energy points to support and balance these organs. These affect us physically, energetically, emotionally and mentally.
Seasonal Mindfulness - enjoy a talk on the Chakras and benefits of Pranayama. Explore the subtle yet powerful tool of the breath to help as an anchor for an over active mind and bring us more deeply into the present moment. We will be offering tools to help you take mindfulness into your everyday activities, so you remain centered and calm even when challenged by heavy a work load or potentially stressful situations.
