Lead by Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher and fitness expert Karen Nally with over 8 years’ experience in the health and wellbeing industry. Karen was taught by world renowned teachers Kosta Micheien, Jason Milne, Alicia Castilles, Michelle Lamb and Craig proctor at Vikasa, Koh Samui, Thailand.
This course is perfect for those new to yoga or those who are wanting to immerse themselves deeply in the techniques and ancient philosophy of yoga, meditation and pranayama whilst enjoying the company of a great group of yogis.
We will break down the poses and look at:
Class by class you will build up knowledge and confidence as you will learn key postures from each of the main asana groups including yoga warm ups, sun salutations, standing poses, twists, backbends, forward folds and simple inversions.
You will be given clear guidance on how to correctly preform pranayama (breathing) techniques and how to get the most out of meditation.
These classes will help you to learn how to move your body with more skill, ease and awareness, thereby helping to release tension from the body and improve flexibility and strength.
You will take away in depth knowledge on meditation and breathing to help you relax and manage stress and anxiety.
We will explore the ancient art of yoga philosophy and you will be given suggestions of how to incorporate the yogic way of lifestyle into your everyday routine to become a vital, happier and healthier person.
You will be encouraged to ask as many questions as you like through out the classes so that you really come away with a true understanding of all aspects of the practice.
The practice builds up class by class providing a solid foundation and the essentials you need for your yoga journey.
