What It's All About
During the day you will experience two practical yoga classes each including specific techniques and practices that will provide support and relief for a variety of ailments. The yoga day retreat will begin in nature with a meditative walk on the beautiful and ancient grounds. Being in nature will help you to prepare the body and mind for the first practical Hatha yoga session, the first session will focus mainly on stress relief, relaxation, improving flexibility whilst strengthening the body which will enable you to improve your structure and technique, enabling you to connect to your body’s energy fields. The second session will focus on relaxation and meditation through breathing work, giving you the opportunity to reflect and observe your mind, body and spirit. Focusing mainly on the feminine energy of the body to alleviate stress and tension, minor anxiety, insomnia, whilst improving self- esteem and it will also teach you valuable relaxation techniques.
The final session will be a guided meditation to cleanse the chakras the energy system within the body this well help to lock in all the energy created throughout the day at the workshop.
This yoga retreat is led by a yoga teacher Emily Cuckson. Emily is the in house yoga and meditation practitioner in Champneys, Tring. With over 12 years of practice including dance she is an experienced teacher with skills in women’s health and weight loss. A promoter of the alkaline diet and zest for knowledge of the ancient wisdom of yoga and its healing properties.
This retreat is set in a beautiful setting and will provide you with the opportunity to have the space and freedom to relax and revitalise your body’s energy systems, enabling you to work on your individual issues whilst being in a friendly group; Emily will be available throughout the day for questions and advice.

Yoga can enhance every aspect of our entire being. Techniques can be performed in various positions and being flexible is not a requirement for joining a yoga class.
Yoga has the ability to subtly remove old habits and allows new ones to form without practitioners really trying. Yoga also relieves stress and tension, enhances sleep, increases flexibility, improves posture and helps relieve many minor ailments and aches and pains.

There is a minimum number of people required for the break to run. Breaks will be cancelled if numbers are insufficient 2 weeks before the start of the break.
