We’re delighted to announce that Champneys Forest Mere featured in the prestigious Sunday Times’ annual Ultimate 100 Hotels.
Listing their best of British, we’re proud to take our place among their favourite spa hotels. With all the usual pillars of excellence under scrutiny – think comfort, good service, value and facilities – they certainly know a good hotel when they see one.
Their experts also went looking for personality and warmth, which we believe Forest Mere has in abundance.
The resort, which also recently won a Five Bubble status from the Good Spa Guide, has undergone significant investment over the past 18 months. New additions include the revamped Mere restaurant and Orangery café. On top of that, we also opened a thermal poolside suite – complete with heated water beds, Jacuzzi, experience showers, laconium, steam room, sleep pods and snow cabin.
What they said:
“Champneys set the scene for health resorts in the UK, but the chain has been a sleeping giant of late. Suddenly, though, it’s awake and busy reinventing its Liphook base. The bare bones were always impressive: at the heart of the complex is a former manor house set in 160 acres of woodland. Now there’s a fabulous thermal suite and comfy sitting room with a terrace overlooking the lake. The dining area has been spruced up with rustic-chic interiors, and the 87 bedrooms feel lighter. What hasn’t changed is the excellent therapists and great value for money.”
