We are proud to announce a brand new partnership with former Olympian, physical activity expert and world-renowned sports scientist, Professor Greg Whyte OBE. As Ambassador for Fitness and Wellbeing, Greg will launch a series of fitness workshops and ‘Gold Standard’ training programmes for members and guests at Champneys’ flagship spa resort in Tring, Hertfordshire.
An internationally recognised expert in the field, Greg has extensive professional experience assessing, treating and improving the performance of patients, sporting enthusiasts and athletes ranging from cancer sufferers to Sports Relief celebrities attempting their first mountain summit, to Gold medal seeking Olympians.
The one day fitness workshops at Champneys, launching in June 2018, will have a specific focus on run, bike and swim training techniques and will incorporate nutrition advice, mental preparation for races and challenges, gym work, kit advice and injury prevention.
Announcing his new 4 year partnership with Champneys, and fresh from completing his latest Sports Relief challenges with TV presenter Zoe Ball and Radio 1’s Greg James, Greg Whyte said “I am delighted to be teaming up with Champneys, the UK’s original and best health resort, and extending its existing tradition. I’m looking forward to working with members and guests to optimize their well-being and performance for any challenge ahead.”
As well as fitness workshops, Greg will also be training and mentoring a team of fitness experts at Champneys to deliver his own bespoke ‘Gold, Silver and Bronze’ tiered training packages available to Champneys’ members and guests, which incorporate various levels of fitness tests and consultations as provided by The Centre for Health and Human Performance (CHHP), of which Greg Whyte is the Director of Performance, as well as tailored training programmes suitable for all abilities.
The Centre for Health and Human Performance (CHHP), whose headquarters are on London's renowned Harley Street, provide the very latest in specialist performance, health, injury and rehabilitation services and will soon be working closely with Champneys' Tring resort, to give patients and clients of CHHP, as well as Champneys members, the opportunity to benefit from these services. CHHP adopt a philosophy centered upon a 360-degree health and holistic approach, viewed within the context of overall physical health, where clients receive comprehensive and unrivalled support from the country’s leading experts.
