If you are still undecided after taking the quiz about what treatments you want to try, then take a look at some of the most popular spa treatments that are available.

Full body massage

Our 50-minute deep tissue massage, which focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, can help improve your posture, flexibility, mobility and ease stress.

A therapeutic full body massage will work the whole body, but if you have a problem area that needs more attention you can request the therapist to spend more time on that area.

Em Sheldon, who runs the Em Talks blog recommends a full body massage. She says, “My favourite treatment is a full body massage, I love feeling completely relaxed, revived and pampered.”

Sports massage

If you play a lot of sport and exercise regularly or have a lot of muscle tension, then a Champneys sports massage would be best for you.

If you suffer from moderate musculoskeletal problems, then this firm-handed, deep tissue massage can help relieve your muscle pain and tightness.

Faya Nilsson, a personal trainer who founded the Fitness on Toast blog, explains some of the reasons you should opt for a sports massage.

She says, “Aggressive training can tighten and toughen the muscles, preventing them from stretching correctly; the ‘pumping’ (focused stroking) of soft tissue, both longitudinally and laterally, will improve muscular mobility and can correct imbalances, as well as releasing accumulated tensions from the sheaths around the muscles.”

Personalised facials

There are many facial treatments on offer to you on a spa break; from a Collagen Gold Facial to an Elemis Superfood Facial.

Micaela, who runs the Stylish London Living blog, explains why facials are one of her favourite spa treatments.

She says, “I love a good facial, it’s one of my must-haves when looking for a great spa day. My skin is dry and can be sensitive so from time to time it really loves a good treatment. I try to keep up a regular skincare regime to keep my skin healthy and looking great but sometimes life gets on top of me and I forget. A good facial has a number of steps the most important being cleansing, exfoliation, a mask, toning and moisturising. This process leaves the skin clean, hydrated and ready to take on the world! I love a facial which has some added extras such as a head massage which can be very soothing. The products really make or break a facial with textures and aromas giving the experience something a little extra.”

A pedicure

The Megan Ann Blog are big fans of pedicures as they have a whole host of benefits, even if you don’t have that much time a 25-minute pedicure can help you feel refreshed.

In an article about the benefits of a pedicure, the Megan Ann Blog explains some of its benefits.

The blog says, “A pedicure involves a foot and leg massage to help release tension on your muscles and joints. Getting a pedicure allows you to de-stress making your feet feel relaxed and rejuvenated. At the same time, you will feel more refreshed and energized after this treatment.

“It can significantly affect your overall state and improve not just your physical appearance but your emotional well-being as well. It lowers down your stress levels making you feel more positive and healthier.”

Body scrub

If you take a full body exfoliation treatment, it will leave your skin feeling smooth and conditioned as the treatment helps to remove dead skin cells. Another benefit of a body scrub is the fact that it improves your circulation.

Micaela from Stylish London Living is a big fan of body scrubs. She adds, “Have you ever had that feeling that your skin is a bit tired and grimy and could do with a thorough exfoliation? For fresh, soft skin I recommend a scrub. A full body scrub is a great treat, especially when the seasons are changing and you want to feel refreshed.

“Of course for a full body scrub you are required to strip down so this isn’t for the feint hearted although most practitioners will let you wear a rolled down swimsuit or bikini bottoms. The treatment involves the application of the scrub (usually made from sugar or salt and a combination of hydrating and relaxing oils) all over the body which removes dead and dull skin cells and allows the newer cells beneath to shine through. I love how my skin feels after a good scrub! You can make your own scrub for pampering yourself at home, check out this DIY coconut oil orchid sugar scrub.”
