Terms and conditions for suspending membership

All Suspensions must be requested in writing/email to the Club Administrator giving reason for suspension & including medical documentation where required.

Annual Payers.

  1. No suspension of membership for holidays during the first year of Membership
  2. Suspensions will be allowed for illness, injury or pregnancy, providing a Doctors letter is received. Minimum suspension in these cases will be 1 month.
  3. For Membership suspension due to working away from home or for extended holiday of a TWO months or more we require notification in writing/email at least one month prior to the suspension period. A maximum 6months suspension will be allowed per year, subject to Management discretion.
  4. In all of the above suspensions, when agreed by Management a pro-rata credit will be applied to your membership account, this is non refundable but can be used towards next years Annual Subscription or extras charged to your membership account.
  5. Suspensions reasons in point 4 cannot be back dated; these must be informed in writing prior to the suspension.
  6. Duration of suspension for each individual case will be considered separately by the management.

 

Direct Debit Payers

  1. No suspension of membership for holidays during the first year of Membership
  2. All Direct Debit Suspensions must be applied for in writing/email to the Club Administrator and received before the 1st of the month. A start date to resume Direct Debit collections must also be given within a maximum of 6months.
  3. Suspensions will be allowed for illness, injury or pregnancy, providing a Doctors letter is received. Minimum suspension in these cases will be one month.
  4. For Membership suspension due to working away from home or for extended holiday of a month we require notification in writing/email at least one month prior to the suspension period. A maximum 6months suspension will be allowed per year, subject to Management discretion.

  6. Please note Cancellation of Direct Debit payments by the member will be classed as cancellation of membership.

 

Terms & Conditions for Cancellation of Membership

Period of Commitment

You are agreeing to pay an annual fee and contracting to remain a member for the 12 months.

Early Termination of Membership

Limited right to cancel - Medical condition, loss of employment, insolvency, employment relocation, house move or other changes in personal circumstances

During the contract period of 12 months you may cancel the contract only if:

  1. You are suffering from a medical condition which means you are unable to use your club’s fitness facilities (this does not include pregnancy, but does include a medical condition that arises during pregnancy);An appropriate medical practitioner must provide written evidence that this is so.
  2. You lose your employment or are declared insolvent; You must produce documentary evidence to support this.
  3. You are being relocated in your employment to a location which is more than 10 miles from a Champneys club; We shall require evidence that such a move has taken place.
  4. You are moving home to a location which is more than 10 miles from a Champneys club; We shall require evidence that such a move has taken place.
  5. We are satisfied that there has been a change in your personal circumstances, other than those listed above, which means that it is no longer reasonable for you to use your club’s facilities or to continue being a member.


Termination Payment for Early Cancellation

If you cancel your membership within the 12 months for any reason other than in the circumstances set out above, we shall be entitled to keep the remaining annual fees.
All cancellations must be received in writing/email with at least 4 weeks notice. The club administrator will then confirm your leaving date.
Annual Members Suspension credits are non-refundable when you cancel. Credits will be by way of Gift Card and valid for a year. The Gift Card can be used towards Champneys Products, Days & Stays. Please note you will not be able to re-join on any promotional offer within a 12 month period.

 

Terms and conditions for Refer a friend scheme

Please see below the updated terms and conditions:

Every time you refer someone to the club, we will thank you with a referral reward. Rewards will vary but may include offers such as a Champneys Essential Day, Personalised Facial ( 55 mins), Luxury Manicure/Pedicure ( 55 mins), Spa Heaven Cocoon ( 55 mins), Two Personal Training Sessions ( 55 mins) and Dinner for Two in the Champneys Restaurant. Please contact your Club Administrator for the latest offers. Terms and conditions apply. Subject to availability. Club administrator must be notified on new members application that referral has been made. It cannot be requested at a later date. Voucher issued 2 months after new member has completed 2 months membership. Voucher must be used within 6 months. Treatments bought with the voucher must be Champneys own brand.

 

RESTAURANT & SPA CAFE

Our Champneys restaurant offers a nutritious 3-course dinner, buffet breakfast & 3-course buffet lunch available at a discount to members.

The Restaurant – is the perfect place to entertain clients or unwind with friends. Our chefs believe in creating balanced, healthy and delicious menus, using responsibly sourced, seasonal produce. Our aim is to ensure that each club member and guest is taken care of inside and out and that the simplicity of our dishes, using the best quality ingredients, speaks for themselves. We do request that club members provide at least 24hrs notice on reservations. If a club member wishes to book on the day then this will be subject to availability. Access is only available during your club membership times.

Parties & Dining - If you're planning a party we have a number of event spaces to suit different tastes and budgets. Please see your restaurant manager. At each resort we have a room which is available for hire for exclusive use for any occasion. Whether it's for a celebratory dinner, corporate event or even a small wedding reception. Our Operations Manager will work with you to design a bespoke menu, that meets your needs, ensuring that your event runs smoothly.

Spa Cafe - Try our range of juices and smoothies that offer an array of health benefits. You will find a metabolism booster or detox booster which you could also enjoy alongside a refreshing smoothie or juice to maximise associated health benefits. We also offer the perfect post workout snacks. Our 'Nutritious Delicious' variety bliss balls are packed with fruity goodness from cranberries, apricots & dates, oats for sustained energy and healthy fats from pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.

Member benefits: Breakfast buffer £8.50, Lunch buffet from £15.00. Three course dinner from £25.00. Please check on booking as prices are subject to change and vary at each resort.

Reward Points

The rewards and incentive scheme are subject to change at the management discretion and will be reviewed annually. Points are non-transferable. The same reward can only be chosen once in your 12 month membership period. Lunch and Dinner requests are subject to availability at management discretion.

 

GUEST PASS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please see below the updated terms and conditions:

Guest Passes are valid for 12 months only.
The maximum number of inclusive guest passes you will receive is 3, and these will be credited on renewal of your membership and you will be issued with a guest pass voucher.
Guest Passes are non-transferable.
One Guest Pass allows for one guest only.
Half Day Passes cannot be used.
Guest Passes can only be used within your membership club times and only at your resort club.
Guest Passes cannot be used by a member to come into the resort out of their membership times.
A maximum of two guests per member are permitted on any given day subject to management discretion.
All guests are required to be accompanied by a member for the whole duration of their visit.
Members are required to book their guests with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice of requested day with the Wellbeing & Fitness Reception. Acceptance is subject to Management discretion. Failure to book guest in and present guest pass on arrival will result in the day guest fee of £30 being charged or being turned away and denied access to the resort.
All guests must complete an enquiry form on arrival before using the facilities.
All guests are required to abide by the club rules.
Any treatments or services taken by guests will be charged for accordingly and are required to be paid for prior to departure. If not they will be charged to the club members account.
The minimum age of any member’s guest is 18.
Guest passes can only be used at your own resort.

Club Members can purchase guest passes within their membership times for the following fees:

£30 between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm
£15 between 6.30-10.00am and between 6.00-10.00pm (Springs, Henlow and Forest Mere only)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR A MONTHS MEMBERSHIP GIFT

The month membership is limited to one month in a 12 month period.
A temporary membership card will be provided for the duration of the membership.
Guest Passes can be purchased in addition to the month membership.
The purchaser must provide the full name and address of the recipient when purchasing the gift.
The one month gift cannot cannot be purchased with or used in conjunction with any other offer, discount of voucher.
The one month membership cannot be frozen or cancelled and is valid for up to a 31 day period depending on which month is purchased.
The membership must be purchased upfront in the form of a one off payment by cheque or card.
A month's membership cannot be purchased by exisiting, lapsed or expired members in order to extend or renew existing membership.
This offer is only available to current club members.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP HOME
