2 Night Yoga weekend with Emma Gilland
This weekend offers practitioners of all levels the opportunity to explore ways to maintain equilibrium and harmony for the body and mind. The weekend begins with a restorative yin-inspired yoga practice to settle the body into a place of stillness and to just switch off from the outside world. Further classes involve mindfulness meditation techniques and breathing techniques to help ground with the intention of using these techniques in daily life. You will also explore the breath in a Vinyasa ‘flow’ yoga practice, emphasising posture and awareness of engaging our deeper core muscles.
Emma began practicing Yoga in her late teens and has since studied under the expertise of Louise Solomon at the Yoga Pilates Academy Australia, Yogi Vishvektu at the World Conscious Yoga Family in India and Edward Clark at the Tripsichore Yoga Company London. She has been teaching Vinyasa and Yogalates full time since 2008 and continues her studies in Yoga Asana, Philosophy, Anatomy and a Masters of Osteopathy Degree at the British School of Osteopathy, London. If you don’t see her on the yoga mat, she’ll be flying high on the flying trapeze or hanging out in an aerial yoga hammock. Taking inspiration from many forms of Yoga, Emma’s classes are eclectic, in-depth and often playful. She loves experimenting with sequencing, fusion, transitions and breaking down technical postures so they can be approached in a safe yet enjoyable way.
