To enable you to make the most of your stay, please advise us of activities/classes you may wish to attend as this will help us avoid booking your treatments at those times. The Fitness & Wellbeing Schedules are updated bi-annually (Springs/Summer and Autumn/Winter), therefore please bear in mind that activities may vary from time of booking to time of your stay. However, please notify us of particular activities/classes that interest you and we will try to avoid scheduling your treatments at the times of your preferred classes/activities. Your comments/request can be added when you are requesting your treatments, please go to the treatment page to request treatments for your stay.
Due to popular demand, some classes and
activities may require booking on the day.
While most of the classes and activities are regular features,
not all of them are available every day or every week. Classes will
vary from one health resort to another. An additional
fee may be required for some classes. Private sessions are available on
request.

Tennis lessons
To help you improve any aspect of your game whether it is
your forehand drive, an advanced serving technique or a look
at game tactics. Lessons available at an additional cost. Please
book in advance on pre-booking form to avoid disappointment.
Golf lessons
Available off site at a local golf course. Whether it is to
practice your putting or driving skills, to book a lesson or
to enjoy a round, please book in advance on a Treatment / Service
Request Form to avoid disappointment. Lessons available at
an additional cost. A three hole golf course is available at Springs
Health Resort on site.
Bicycle rides
Guests wishing to explore the surrounding countryside can
use our bikes between 9.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Swimming lessons
Gain confidence, learn to swim or improve your stroke with
our fully qualified swim instructor. The ideal opportunity
to learn! Lessons available at an additional cost. Please book
in advance on a Treatment / Service Request Form to avoid disappointment.
Art of Swimming Lessons - The Shaw Method of Swimming: Springs, Tring and Henlow
Art of Swimming Ltd and Champneys are pleased to
offer swimming lessons based on the highly acclaimed Shaw
Method of swimming, using a unique approach based on the
Alexander Technique. Art of Swimming Ltd offers the following
at the resorts:-
Swim-check: A 25 minute personal assessment
combining careful observation and diagnosis of the swimmer's
ability and learning needs. The Swim-check is recorded on digital
video for playback. Swimmers receive a detailed explanatory
commentary with recommendations on the appropriate teaching
for them.
1-to-1 lessons: Individual 25, 45 or 55-minute
lessons. Particularly beneficial for less confidant swimmers
or those who prefer more personalised attention.
Horse riding
Enjoy a hack around the local countryside or book a lesson
with one of our local riding schools available off site. Please
book in advance on a Treatment / Service Request Form form
to avoid disappointment. Lessons available at an additional
cost.
