Champneys charity bike ride is back!
Sign up now! On Sunday 20th May 2012 our 10th annual charity bike ride will take place in Henlow. A choice of a 22 or 36 mile route around the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside to raise funds for Silver Star appeal, Target Ovarian Cancer, Prostate Cancer and Champneys Charitable Foundation. Champneys Medical launch new back awareness course
Back pain is an extremely common condition that can affect people of all ages. It can be triggered by everyday activities, or it can develop gradually over time as a result of sitting, standing or lifting incorrectly. Champneys Medical is launching bespoke Back Awareness Courses at Champneys Tring in Hertfordshire, an intensive two-day programme developed by expert physiotherapists from the medical team at Champneys and The RealHealth Institute. Backstage at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball!
Last weekend Champneys was invited backstage at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 to provide relaxing treatments for the artists and musicians. Performing at the two day music event were Rihanna, Jessie J, Labrinth, The Saturdays, The Wanted, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs plus many more.
Champneys wins best UK spa award!
We're excited to announce that Champneys Forest Mere has won the prestigious Sunday Times Travel Magazine Readers' Award 2011 for Best UK Spa! Champneys took first place ahead of Ragdale Hall and Thermae Spa, Bath. The Forest Mere spa hotel in Hampshire, has picked up two awards this year, the other being the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Award 2011. Thank you to everyone who voted for us and congratulations to all staff at Forest Mere.
Champneys Swimming Coach wins gold!
Congratulations to Laura Merchant, Champneys Tring's swimming coach, for winning a gold medal at the Swimming Masters Nationals in Sheffield for the 1500m event. Laura is now British champion for the 1500 metres in her age group. Well done Laura!

Downton stars visit Champneys
Three key members of the cast of Downton Abbey got together at Champneys Tring health spa on Monday after three fans of the ITV drama bid a total of £12,000 for charity to join them for a day’s pampering. Michelle Dockery who plays Lady Mary Crawley, Laura Carmichael who plays Lady Edith Crawley, and Zoe Boyle who plays Lavinia Swire enjoyed meals and a variety of treatments with the generous bidders.
Jermain Defoe opens our new Day Spa at Boots Milton Keynes
Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe kicked off his football boots last night to try out a Fish Pedicure at the new Champneys Day Spa in Milton Keynes. The star was at the opening party, which was attended by over 100 guests including Josie, winner of Big Brother and Polly Parsons, star of The Real Hustle. The Day Spa has 50% off treatments until the 20th November 2011.

Rubgy stars feel the cold at Champneys Tring!
Welsh rugby stars Stephen Jones, Gethin Jenkins and Ryan Jones have all been recovering from minor injuries using the -135C Kriotherapy chamber at Champneys Tring this week, in preparation for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

It is official Champneys Tring is 'The Best Resort in England’ after winning the prestigious World Travel Award 2011, in what was a very competitive field with Chewton Glen, Cliveden House, Danesfield House Hotel and Spa, Four Seasons Hampshire, Hoar Cross Hall and Stoke Park Club also nominated.

Champneys College tutor Sarah wins Tutor of the Year Award 2011!
Congratulations to Sarah Stone who yesterday won the prestigious ‘BABTAC/CIBTAC Tutor of the Year 2011’ award at Kensington Roof Gardens in London. Sarah joined the College in August 2007 having previously taught in Further Education Colleges and having had her own Salon. Sarah, who teaches Body Therapy, Hot Stone Treatment and Indian Head Massage, is fully qualified to train to both CIBTAC and CIDESCO levels in all aspects of Beauty Therapy, and passed her own Post Graduate CIDESCO examination

Over £2000 raised for Rainbows Hospice!
On Thursday 26th May we held a Charity Event at Champneys Springs in aid of Rainbows Hospice for children and young adults. A wide range of taster treatments were on offer throughout the evening including Hot Stone Massage, Fish Pedicures, Floatations and many more.

Charity Golf Day
This year Champneys hosted its first fundraising golf day and dinner on the 20th October 2011 at the Ashridge Golf Club and Champneys Tring. An event which saw celebrities including David Seaman, Ian Wright, Bobby Davro, Ray Parlour and many more enjoying a charity day on the fairway.
Weight to go!
Whether you're wanting to get your body summer ready, or if you simply need that motivational boost, Fit Camp at Champneys is a perfect way. We have had 168 guests take part in the week long luxury Boot Camp so far, and the guests have achieved an average weight loss of 6.3lbs and an average inch loss of 4.5 inches, a fantastic result!

Puppy Love!
Champneys took on the ‘Thames Challenge’ in aid of Dogs for the Disabled and have now successfully raised over £11,000 which funds the sponsorship of an assistance dog for its lifetime. ‘Forest’ a golden retriever puppy (adaptly named after Champneys Forest Mere who raised the most money ) will be trained then will be partnered with an autistic child to help them achieve greater independence. Thank you to everyone who took part!
